Thank you so much for your email. It is nationwide understanding that all businesses have risk. Since, Thai Union Frozen have a chance to meet Frobisher, we felt so positive and felt so great for your enthusiam in selling our products and made businesss happens for 3 containers. We have had spent a lot of time since the first beginning of the process, artwork development, other small details, until the shipment shipped. It is not easy and need so many communication and urgent request from all team and suppliers. However, we really want to support Frobisher. We are a very successful partnership. Both Peter and Jason are so so nice. However, we felt quite a bit surprised after receive this email.
Here is comment from our side.
1) For payment, according to policy of all organization on the financial policy wise, I do not think it is very acceptable to open the credit time until the customer's situation got better. The very best and very special to Frobisher that we can support is to extend the payment until 10-Mar-2015. We never gave or extend to any customers.
2) For the discount,
A) In the future, if Thai Union got the situation of dramatically and rapidly increased in raw material price, can we increase the price to Frobisher?
B) Whenever you can sell products imported from our company in a very high margin, can you share us more margin?
You are in this business for a long long time, I do strongly believe that this is the nature of business for all products in the business world, not only frozen shrimp. During the time gap, the raw material price can be fluctuated, especially with the commodity product like shrimp. However, all customers accept that for sometimes loss, sometimes gain. Your requesting concept now, is the "Consignment" concept, which is not our policy to do so.
In helping to extend the payment terms, pls kindly post that, Thai Union is doing a very special things to Frobisher that we never done with others.
