1 Heat Deionized Water (336701) to 40° C to 45°C.
2 To the mix tank, charge 80% of the Deionized Water (336701) and start agitation. The agitator speed should be set to maintain good surface movement. Take sample from the mix tank and test for the following:
- Resistivity must be 150,000 ohms minimum.
- pH range between 5.0-7.0
3 Slowly charge the Genapol X-080 (342596) to the mix tank and allow it to disperse throughout the batch. Mix time should be a minimum of 10 minutes before next step.
4 Charge the L-Lactic Acid 88%, Technical Grade (332140) to mix tank. Increase the agitation speed to maintain adequate surface movement but avoiding formation of a vortex which could result in the generation of foam. Mix for a minimum of 15 minutes and verify that the batch is clear before proceeding.
5 Hostapur is being added in 4 steps to minimize batch time.
'- Charge 25% of Hostapur SAS, 93 (821876) to the mix tank and agitate for 5 minutes.
'- Charge 25% of Hostapur SAS, 93 (821876) to the mix tank and agitate for 5 minutes.
'- Charge 25% of Hostapur SAS, 93 (821876) to the mix tank and agitate for 5 minutes.
'- Charge final 25% of Hostapur SAS, 93 (821876) to the mix tank and agitate for 30 minutes.
If Hostapur is not dissolve completely, agitate more for 10 min or until it's homogenous.
6 Measure and record the temperature of the batch to confirm that it is below 45°C
7 Charge the TAKASAKO RQ-1365/5 (738870) to mix tank and agitate for 5 minutes.
8 In separate premix container, dissolve Acid Blue #9 (331500) with DI water. Agitate until homogeneous.
9 Charge dye solution into mix tank and agitate for 15 minutes.
10 Rinse the tank walls with remaining 10% of Deionized Water (336701) and agitate for 10 min
