Dear Host Family,
My name is ............. , or ........ I am a ..... years old Thai girl from Lopuri province, which is in the central part of Thailand. My family has 4 members, dad, mom, younger sister, and I. My parents own a shop and garage. They sell some construction equipment. My sister, 21 years old, has just graduated a bachelor degree, and she is applying to be an au pair in United States like me. We always help our parents at the shop. We have 5 dogs; 1 poodles and 5 Thai dog. All of them are very lovely. I think pets are good for everyone, especially for children as they can play and learn natural world from pets. Since our family is small, everybody share a responsibility in the house. I am responsible for cleaning the house, doing dishes and parents’ clothes, and taking care of the dogs.
I was born in Bangkok, a capital city of Thailand, and moved to Lopburi when I was 13 years old. People always call Lopburi “monkey province”. There are many ancient and natural sint-seeing places. Sunflowers are flower of my province. We have sunflowers festival during November-January every year. I wonder that I am now live in Kansas where the sunflowers are flower of this state too.
I am interested in Thai massage and some sports. I like watching movies and traveling. Sometimes, I often swim and bike, and my dogs run after me.
I have got a Bachelor degree of Education with first class honor. My mojor is English from Rajabhat Thepsatri University, Lopburi. When I was a high school student, I was a studnt committee of the school. I had participated in many school activities while studying in university.
After my graduation, I was chosen from my college to be a volunteer teacher to teach Thai culture and Thai language for Thai children who was born in America at Wat Thai of Los Angeles for 3 months. At the time, it was my first time to live out of my country. I had a good time with children. I taught them Thai language and culture and played with. I also learned many new things from them. I realized that Thai and North American kids are different in many ways. I love the fact that your kids are not afraid to ask questions and I would love to teach Thai kids to be like that someday.
After graduation, I worked as a high school English teacher for a 1 year. I taught grade 7 and grade 10. I also was an exchanged student supervisor while I was working. She is from Canada. We have very good relationship, and still keep in touch. I am interested to live in Canada someday.
Before I become an au pair in U.S., I was a childcare volunteer teacher at my province childcare center.
Right now, I am an au pair int program. I have worked with Simak family since Oct 28, 2004. Basically, I am working on my second year contact, and it will be expired November 2005. When I finish my contact, I have 2 years full time child care experience. and I would love to work as a live-in caregiver in Canada as soon as possible. i do appricate to prepare everything while i am working in U.S.

Since I have been here when Jacqueline was 2 years old, and Madeline was not born yet, I do know every their development and understand how different between taking care new born and infant well. My proud job is I can train Jacqueline’s potty training when she was just 2 and a half. We have lot of impressive experience to each other. I work 10 hours a day; Monday – Friday, We do many activities all day long; painting, crafting, coloring, swimming, going park, doing kids activities around the town, reading stories, singing, dancing, finger playing along the music. I do her bed, meal and clothes. I drop her off and pick her up from school. Not even comfort her. I also teach her to be good girl, do good manner. For baby, I feed her, change her diaper, and also play with her, now I am practicing her to walk by holding her hand, and now she can walk a few steps to me by herself. That is so awesome! Whenever I see their smiling, hear their happy laugh, and hear them call my name sweetly, I never get tried.
I am responsible, patient, active, joyful, friendly and honest. I love children and I can keep them happy. I think childhood is very important step of their life. They need one who can take care and grow them both body and mind.
Sincerely yours,
