Moreover, the higher education experience has two overlapping areas (Rowley,
1997): the evaluation of quality of teaching and learning (Cuthbert, 1996; Soutar and
McNeil, 1996) and the evaluation of the quality of the total student experience (Hill,
1995). Even though the evaluation of quality of teaching and learning is the more
analysed issue, it depends on each single student’s approach to learning. Instead, the
student experience is much more than just teaching and learning. The other services
provided by universities, such as accommodation, alumni associations, etc., have
become crucial for course choice and successful course completion.
