Sending waves of shock among Muslims around the world, Angola's government, according to reports, decided to outlaw Islam and close mosques as part of the government efforts to ban 'illegal' religious sects.
Paradoxically, this unjust denial of one of the most basic human rights is made by the Angolan Ministry of 'Justice and Human Rights'. Now, followers of the second-largest religion in the world are not welcome any more in Angola.
The unprecedented ban is not restricted to Islam but it also extends to at least 194 religious sects according to the Angolan minister of culture.
