Furthermore,we observed that light intensity ( 1 stexperiment)had no significant effect while light quality (2ndexperiment) significantly affected the anthocyanin accumulation. This suggests that particularly under low fluence rates light quality is an important factor that determines anthocyaninsynthesis and accumulation.This hypothesis is also supported by Sarala etal.(2011) who found that the removal of blue light from the normal light spectrum significantly reduced anthocyanin concentration in different plant species
