On average, the sample consumed
2,207 kcal/adult equivalents and dietary
variety was low. Households
with high PAHD consumed more energy
and had more varied diets
(Table 2). These households also presented
higher intakes of vegetables,
dairy, meat, sugar-sweetened beverages
(SSB), and total and saturated fat
and sodium, a lower intake of beans,
a higher mean HDQI score, and
a larger percentage of households
with scores above the median
(Table 3). Moderate PAHD households
had much higher egg consumption
(Table 3). Low PAHD households presented
lower intakes of monounsaturated
fatty acids, cholesterol,
vitamin B12, and vitamin C, compared
with high PAHD households and
lower protein and polyunsaturated
fatty acid intake, compared with moderate
PAHD households (Table 4).
