BAP + 0.1 mg/l IAA, 1.0 mg/l BAP + 0.2 mg/l IAA and 2.0
mg/l BAP + 0.2 mg/l IAA, which also produced better
results as compared with the other hormonal combinations.
This result showed that the intermediate levels of
BAP (1.0 and 2.0 mg/l) along with the lower concentrations
of IAA (0.1 and 0.2 mg/l) had a favorable effect
on the regeneration of chrysanthemum plantlets using
nodal segments as explants. On the other hand the
highest (5.0 mg/l) and the lowest (0.5 mg/l) concentrations
of benzylaminopurine (BAP) combined with
higher concentrations of indole acetic acid (IAA). That is,
0.5 and 1.0 mg/l did not respond well and showed their
least interest towards regeneration of chrysanthemum.
