The second key for healthy work is this: we must understand who we are really working for. The Bible says, “Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT) Our boss may be our supervisor, but that person is not the big boss. It would be easier to be enthusiastic when we think, “I am not really doing it for this boss or this supervisor, but I am doing it for the Lord.” When we are doing it for the Lord, we are turning our work into worship.
