There were 8 of us and we ordered a ton of food. We had the grilled pork shoulder, squid skewer, beef salad, seafood salad, bbq chicken, papaya salad, lamb with basil, squid with salted egg yoke sauce, crab curry, herbal soup, spicy grilled chicken soup , crab fried rice, white rice, brown rice, and sticky rice. All of the dishes were ok, but none were outstanding and made me feel the need to return. The lamb and basil was disappointing because it was extremely salty. There was a lot of celery in the salads, which makes me think the food is more American-Thai. I just don't like seeing celery, broccoli, and large pieces of carrots in Thai food. The squid in salted egg yoke sauce, the crab curry, and the bbq chicken were probably the most interesting and enjoyable. Otherwise I think this restaurant is still not quite authentic. Not sure what they are going for. American-Thai? Modern Thai? I just want my food to taste like it would taste in Thailand, but that is just me. Perhaps I should be more open to their style of food. Ultimately, I think a lot of the dishes lack a balanced flavor. Easy on the salt!
The service was fantastic. They were very attentive and kind. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of interesting decorations. I think this would be a great place to grab a drink and catch up with a friend. Otherwise, I think I'll drive further and get my Thai fix over at Pestle Rock.
