You woke up earlier than the rest of the team, sitting down to watch the morning news. Vision walked in soon after. He never sleeps, and sometimes scares you in the dead of night, wandering around the tower.
“Good morning, (Y/N).” He said in a light-hearted tone.
“Mornin’ Vision.” As always, he would smile when you spoke. He perplexed you, showing emotion but usually only around you. You didn’t think you would ever fully understand him.
“May I ask you a question?” He asked as he moved over to the couch and sat down next to you. You furrowed your eyebrows a bit, wondering where this was going. Maybe he was going to ask you some trivia question, or maybe he wanted to know something about earth or humans, since he was still learning here and there.
“Um, sure! Fire away.” You said, resting your elbows on your legs and your head in your hands. He paused a little, thinking about how to word his question, before speaking.
“Do you think it is possible I could malfunction to feel emotion?” You looked down to the floor, thinking. Vision had a bad habit of always asking random questions out of the blue. It was kind of cute, though. He seemed as curious as a child. He reminded you of when you were young and asked all kinds of questions about anything at random. You especially loved it because he would always come to you. Sometimes you would direct him to someone else in the tower, but he always came to you first. It was a great excuse to talk to him, since you would think about it out loud and drag on the conversation for as long as you could. You really liked him, but you would never admit it. He was an android, telling someone you fell in love with an android would be awkward for sure. You shook your head.
