3.1. Morpho-economic traits of three clones of rose-scented
geranium
The three clones differed significantly for seven out of 10 studied
morpho-economic traits (Table 1). Clone LTC-2 gave significantly
higher aerial biomass yield and oil yield than both ‘Bourbon’
and ‘Narmada’. However, ‘Bourbon’ exhibited significantly higher
essential oil content than ‘Narmada’ and ‘LTC-2’. ‘LTC-2’ had larger
leaves and greater plant width than the other two clones. It also
had more number of primary branches and distinct leaf form as
compared with ‘Bourbon’ and ‘Narmada’. The three clones did not
differ for the shape of their leaves (Table 1).
