The Color and Materials Designer is responsible for supporting the production color and trim corporate strategies regarding color and material initiatives (including cost, complexity and feasibility). The selected candidate must be able to manage and self-lead projects from start to finish by identifying appropriate materials and research that conveys the spirit of each vehicle brand. The Designer will design and propose advanced color and materials to support the Chrysler Product Design Office design exterior and interior studios, production programs and lifestyle packages. The selected candidate will also design, develop and coordinate colors, materials and textures for specified vehicles as well as green materials. The Designer will create consumer product style guides as well as support the color and materials team through research, technology and innovative solutions for both the exterior and interior studios. The selected candidate will also document, coordinate and manage new color and materials that are required to support production and advanced interior model builds and concept car programs. The Color and Materials Designer is to conduct research and analysis of competitive landscape and emerging trends. The selected candidate will also research and maintain the competitive materials sample library.
