My thoughts on Mass Communication
I chose to take up Mass Communication because it is a course that opens many doors to different types of opportunities. It also helps in building a personality and helps overcome shyness, which is one of the reasons why I chose Mass Communication. I want to overcome my shyness because I've lost great opportunities just because of that reason.
I definitely want to feel more comfortable in speaking/socializing with people and as a Mass-Comm student, I've seen a big improvement in myself and hopefully I keep improving.
As for a career, I've always wanted to be known, I want to become someone big. I have a great passion for music and this might sound silly to some of you, but, I'd love to become a singer. Singing has always been a part of me. At the moment, I can't imagine myself doing anything else but that. Music really does heal the soul and I'd be more than blessed if I ever landed a career in that field.
I will be able to find jobs that I'd feel comfortable with, like I said, Mass Comm opens a lot of doors for different types of opportunities so I'm very content and confident in picking Mass Comm as a course. Personally, I just feel like it fits me.
I might not be as interested in journalism or advertisement as I am with the more creative part of the course, but all in all, it's very exciting and I do enjoy it. It's very challenging and the only way you can build yourself up as a person is through taking challenges. No matter how many times you fall, you can always get up as long as you don't give up, and that's when you already know you're a winner.
The career prospects that you may have in the future after taking this Journalism and Mass Communication study program are such as editing, reporting, advertising, media management, public relations, corporate communication, television and film production, news presenter, and other related jobs.
