are those in which the interviewer tries to deduce what the applicant's on-the-job performance will be, based on his or her answers to questions about past behaviors. the questions here are not situational, in that they don't revolve around hypothetical situations or scenarios. instead, job-related questions (such as "which courses did you like best in business school?") are asked in order to draw conclusions about, say, the candidate's ability to handle the financial aspects of the job to be filled.
