Your report should identify and describe a case of an organization creating excessive waiting for customers or
generally bad queueing system management. The example should not simply be a case of long waiting you
experienced. Your paper should describe poor queueing system design or management that is systemic to the
organization: i.e., there is something fundamentally wrong with the organization’s production system that
creates excessive waiting. You should describe the cause, and describe precisely how to correct the problem.
Your recommended solution should be cost-effective; i.e., do NOT simply state that the organization should
add more servers. If more servers are needed, you need to justify them economically. Defend/justify your
recommendation(s).
