Binh Duong School, which is capable of holding 800 students in 12 grade levels, is surrounded and covered by the height of the forest. Precast concrete louver systems and patterned walls encircling the building are used for the purpose of shading devices which generate half-outside space. These designs not only help avoiding direct sunlight but also act as a natural ventilation system for the corridor space.
The school is designed as a constant S-shape with gentle slope, connected to the ground at one end, curving around two courtyards to serve two different functions; public and private. The open space flows throughout the circulation to help teachers and students enjoy various activities of the two courtyards with rich natural surroundings.
