The VR set-up can be more or less immersive but
completely immersive VR, in which the environment
appears real and three-dimensional, can induce cybersickness.
The main idea behind VR is attractive and
plausible, namely that it can provide a varied and enjoyable
environment in which patients can sustain the
motivation to practice for extended periods of time
and attend to specific components of error feedback.
In essence, the patients are playing a videogame that
rewards recovery with points.
