A study5 evaluating the use of OCT as an antiseptic
for the management of neoplastic ulcers
concluded that its use correlated with the progressive
eradication of multiresistant pathogens, without
any adverse effects being observed. Goertz et
al. investigated the effects of OCT7 and found it
has a positive influence on vessel diameter and
capillary density.7 This led to the possibility that
perfusion of the STSG may be promoted in the
presence of OCT.
