Seasons in Thailand
There are three seasons in Thailand. Some people would say that we do not have distinctive seasons because they are usually hot, hotter and the hottest. However, the official seasons in Thailand are rainy, cool and hot. The first starts from June to October. The locals often experience Southwest monsoon, which brings ocean water to the continent and then becomes the rain falling all over the country. Sometimes, it floods in many areas. The second begins in November and ends in February. The weather is not cold and the lowest temperature is in the north and the northeast only between five and ten degree Celsius. It is between 15 and 20 in Central but in the south, it has no cool season. For this reason, Thais enjoy visiting some provinces in the north to experience the cool weather. The third is rather warm and it normally gets warmer in April. During this time, the wind blows from the north to the south. Children tend to spend their time flying a kite while the rest celebrate Songkran Festival or Thai New Year. I am very happy with all of these seasons because I enjoy living a full life.
