The formulation developed was evaluated in the Preliminary Stability Tests which include organoleptic characteristics (color, odor and appearance) and spreadability over a minimum of three days at room temperature (24.0 ± 3.0ºC) and oven temperature (40.0 ± 2.0ºC). The oven condition was used in highest temperature for stability study as lipstick usually undergoes softening and deformation at temperatures over 50ºC [6]. From this formulation, no organoleptic or spreadability changes were observed.
