I know many of you are wondering how this announcement will affect the ASBU and you specifically. The truth is at this stage it is too early to tell. More details will be shared in January, and by February we will notify all employees who will be included in the selection event.
The focus of the enterprise selection process will be on expatriate employees (all payrolls), and the US business units. ASBU national employees are out of scope, however, it is fair to say that this process will have an impact on ASBU as we manage the changes it will bring.
Here in the ASBU, Country Managers and GM’s are reviewing their organizations based on the current low oil price environment and reduced project activity in the profit centers.
I understand this announcement creates uncertainty and raises questions. I am committed to ensuring the process is fair to all employees and undertake to communicate transparently when further information is available.
