Goals of Wireless LAN Security
The main goal of the wireless LAN security is to protect the privacy of the clients just
to make sure that an attacker is not able to access the network without any permission
and attack them. The following goals should be considered to implement effective
wireless LAN security:
• Maintain the confidentiality of data as it is stored, processed or transmitted on
a wireless LAN.
• Maintain the integrity of data as it is stored, processed or transmitted over a
wireless local area network.
• Maintain the availability of data stored on a wireless LAN, as well as the
ability to process and transmit the data in a timely fashion.
• Identify and ensure the identity of the sender and receiver of a message.
