Outsourcing Reasons and Benefits Sought
There are many “top five reasons to outsource” surveys floating around at any one time, each giving somewhat different results. This is not surprising. The populations surveyed very, and how one ranks the reasons to outsource often depends on which chair one sits in. If CEOs are surveyed, the results are different from those of CFOs, and their results are different from those of CIOs and others. Just as the probability of another person’s suit of clothes fitting you exactly is remote, so too is the probability of another organization’s reasons to outsource fitting yours equally remote. What is critical is that you understand your reasons for considering outsourcing and the benefits you seek.
