Here's a watch that I bought in 1990 in my pre-internet days of collecting. Jaz Paris was a brand of Seiko that was popular in the 1980's and early 90's. (Seiko Holdings Kabushiki Kaisha registered the Jaz trademark in 1947, but the line did not take off in popularity right away). It was a higher-end line for Seiko, typically priced between $250 and $800 at the time. These models used a Seiko movement and all were designed and assembled in France. It still works today and I wear it in rotation.
Jaz Paris was discontinued by Seiko in the mid-90's due to a lack of profit. For a brief time they shifted directions and made budget Disney-themed watches under the Seiko "Jaz" and Lorus "Jaz" name for $20-$50. A sad last stand.
Size is 37.5mm. It's held up well through about 7 battery changes and 5 straps. The plating must be quite thick since there are no wear marks yet. The crystal is probably sapphire since it has stayed pristine.
