Human beings are born with either a male or female reproductive system. Our reproductive system starts to function when we grow into adults.
Female
The female reproductive system is made up of four parts--the fallopian tubes, uterus, ovaries and a vagina.
Fallopian tubes
The fallopian tubes transport the egg from the ovaries to the uterus.
Uterus
The uterus, or womb, is a muscular organ where the foetus develops during pregnancy.
Ovaries
The ovaries are a pair of organs that produce the eggs.
Vagina
The vagina is a muscular tube where sperm are placed.
