Fujita Kanko owns 1,800 hectare of mountains and forests which absorb CO2. The 691-hectare of mountainous land that we own in Wakayama prefecture is especially important in this respect: that land reportedly absorbs 2,485 ton of CO2 per year. We have been recognized for making a contribution to society by keeping this land green.
We also own vast gardens at some of our properties in big cities, such as Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo and Taiko-en. Among the numerous trees and plants in the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo garden are 90 cherry trees and 1,000 camellia trees. The garden is the habitat to various botanical species, birds, insects
. It is our responsibility to society to maintain this kind of rich nature in urban areas, which will reduce CO2 while providing the community and our guests with a place to enjoy nature’s beauty.
