Table 2 shows the results of investigating fruit quality during the harvest period according to temperature and CO2 concentration. Soluble solids content was 14.9 Brix in the elevated climate group and 14.7 Brix in the elevated CO2 group. This means that soluble solids content increased significantly in the group treated with CO2 concentration, but its increase was not significant in the group treated with elevated temperature. This result is consistent with the report of Islam et al. (1996) that enzymatic activity and soluble solids content increased in tomato treated with high CO2 concentration.
