As well as possibly being a general trait, this trait may exist in people in relation to particular products or products types. A particularly pertinent example of this is in relation to people's attitudes towards computers. For many, computers may be frightening high-tech products that, by their very nature, inspire a lack of self-confidence. Others, however, may feel very self-confident when faced with computer technology. They may enjoy mastering high-tech products and feel very comfortable doing so.
