The heat pipe is an excellent heat transfer component, and it has been applied to solar collectors. The heat pipe condensing section bonds with special heat collector sink. Once the solar PV panel is heated, the energy is transferred from the cell substrate layer to the heat pipe evaporating section. Inside the heat pipe, the liquid me-dium is vaporized by the intense heat transferred from the evap-orating section by heat convection. The vapor generated moves towards the heat pipe condensing section. The heat is released into the liquid medium in pipe through the heat sink that connected with the condensing section. The generated liquid in the heat pipe goes back to the evaporating section by gravity and re-absorbs heat. Meanwhile, the liquid medium stores the heat in the loop of the water tank by heat transfer to achieve a double effect of battery cooling and waste heat utilization.
