B. cinerea was isolated from tomato leaves that exhibited the
typical symptoms of gray mold. The fungal isolate was maintainedon potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium (Daigo, Tokyo, Japan) at
4 C. Conidial spores were harvested by flooding the surface of
10e14-day-old PDA plates incubated at 25 C with 50 mL of sterile,
distilled water.
