In future investigation, dose-response trials will need to examine changes in QOL in postpartum women, and the exact type and intensity of exercise that is most ap- propriate for mothers remain to be determined. A previ- ous RCT that examined the effect of exercise in improve- ing QOL among sedentary postmenopausal women de- monstrated that higher doses of exercise were associated with larger improvements in mental and physical aspects of QOL [14]. Both the intensity and duration of exercise may influence improvements in QOL. As such, it seems desirable to conduct thorough and extensive studies on the effects of physical exercise on postpartum women, although it is difficult for mothers in the child-rearing period to follow an exercise program.
