was investigatedbydifferentialpulsecathodicstripping voltammetry(DPCSV)andcyclicvoltammetry
(CV) athangingmercurydroppingelectrode(HMDE).AtpH9–10.5,theDPCSVofSPdrugshowed
two cathodicpeaksat 1.15and 1.38 VattheHMDEvs.Ag/AgClreferenceelectrode.IntheCV,at
pH 9–10,thedependenceofthecathodicpeakcurrent, Ip,c and peakpotential, Ep,c of thesecondpeak
(Ep,c2) onthescanrate(n) andonthedepolizer(SP)concentrationswastypicalofanelectrodecoupled
(EC)chemicalreactiontypemechanism.Theplotof Ip,c at 1.380VoftheDPCSVvs.SPconcentration
at pH9waslinearovertheconcentrationrangeof1.210109.6107 M. Thelowerlimitof
detection (LLOD)andlimitofquantification(LOQ)ofthedrugwere1.11011 and 4.141011 M,
respectively.ThemethodwassuccessfullyappliedfortheanalysisofSPresiduesinindustrialwastewater,
in pureform(98.273.1%)andindrugformulationse.g.Aldactones tablet (98.3572.9%).Themethod
was validatedbycomparisonwithHPLCandtheofficialdatamethods.
