measurements of serum ROM may not be a completely validated method.
Therefore,
additional
measurements
of
antioxidant
capacity
for
scav-
enging
free
radicals
would
improve
the
reliability
of
our
data.35,36 The current
study
has
the
other
limitations.
The
dentifrice
in
experimental
group
contained
not
only
Pycnogenol1 but
also
anti-inflammatory
and
anti-bacterial
agents,
and
it
may
be
possible
that
Pycnogenol1 had
indirect
effects
on
anti-
ageing
by
itself
in
periodontal
tissue.
Further
studies
are
required
to
clarify
this
issue.
