What are Shopping Engine Ads?
Shopping engines are search engines that are set up to allow users to easily find and compare products that come from various online marketplaces. Listing your products on shopping engines is a great way to get your products in front of buyers who aren't searching on Etsy.
In good news, there is no need to do this yourself! With Shopping Engine Ads enabled, Etsy will automatically syndicate your listings out to various well known shopping engines. While the list of engines we work with changes over time, we currently syndicate our listings to:
Google Shopping
Bing
eBay Commerce Network
PriceGrabber
TheFind
Note that as products listed on shopping engines are considered ads, the products are subject to the terms and policies set forth by each engine. If you have Shopping Engine Ads enabled and don't see your products listed, please check the terms and policies to make sure your products are compliant.
Is there a fee for Shopping Engine Ads?
While shopping engines do charge a fee to list products, Etsy is currently picking up the tab! Given the size of this investment, however, we can't promise that we'll continue to support these ads indefinitely. We'll keep the community updated on the future of Shopping Engine Ads as it develops.
Anything else?
One more thing! Buyers who come to Etsy via shopping engine ads might not be familiar with our site, so we may use a slightly different listing page from time to time to help get them up to speed. We're always testing out new designs, some of which may include things such as similar items from other shops, so don't be surprised if the page looks a little different!
