Sucked into a spiral of sophistication, our civilization tends to confuse human evolution with technological progress.
The pace of this growth increases with such an exponential synergy that nothing can stop its expansion.
This frenzy illustrates the widening gap between Man and Nature.
The project Fashion Fictions China confronts this idea, creating scenes that embody
aesthetic dialogues between Man and Nature, Man and Urban Environments.
It transposes the human being onto a wild world, where the body melts in a silent intimacy.
Each "Fashion Fiction" is a visual story taking place in a natural scenery which carries in its womb a narrative dimension.
A woman or a man, moved by her/his intuition and emotions, evolves in it, revealing its dramatic imprint.
The pictures weave a relationship between isolated nature and the loneliness of the characters.
In this dance a sensual reconciliation between Man, its nature and its world takes place.
The pictures attempt to mirror or open the field of our consciousness and the sensation of our being in relation to the world.
Rather than reproducing classical images of Fashion, I am also attempting in this project to tear away Fashion Photography
from the glossy pages of magazines and to approach the world of Art. In an attempt to explore the domain
of human emotions more as a holistic medium of our contemporary world, as an art form in constant mutation.
These photographs, on one hand universal and yet also in resonance with artistic trends, draw the outlines of China today.
They show us a contemporary China : poetic, sensual, rich in its diversity and its culture.
Where, in the background, a more human face of China appears, reflecting the universality of our human species.
