a pressure swing absorption (PSA) cycle. The resulting 90–95% O
gas stream is fed into a variable output corona discharge ozone generator. The ozone is drawn into solution
via a venturi injector and mixing loop (mass transfer). Any ozone and oxygen that is not dissolved is vented from the mixing loop and passed over a heated catalyst bed (off
gas destruct). Ozonated irrigation solutions are drawn off the mixing loop into two streams. The first stream enters an aqueous ozone monitor, which provides feedback
control for maintaining a fixed ozone concentration. The second stream is diverted to one of three treatment irrigation lines that distribute the solution to the drip-ring
emitters around each plant in the treatment.
