Fairfax County, Va., one of the nation’s largest school systems, decided to push its high-school start times delaying between 8 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. Board members cited health benefits to teens as a leading factor in the change. Montgomery County, Md., the state’s largest school district wanted start times at 8:30 a.m., also citing the health benefits.
