Topic: TV Cartoons have impacts on children’s behavior
I agree with the debate topic for some reasons. First, by their nature, cartoons present fanciful situations. Most TV cartoons that children watch nowadays are make-believe. The actors and the story are not true. At present, the cartoons are created with computer programs that makes cartoon fantasies look real, or be so real. Consequently, audiences, especially children may find it difficult to distinguish between cartoon and reality. Also, TV cartoons with violence may cause aggressive behavior in children. Young children are probably unable to realize that when a character attacks someone it is not real and should not be imitated. Many preschool children are reported to readily imitate violent actions they watch from TV cartoons. They are likely to behave more aggressively than usual in their play after watching violent content on TV cartoons. For example, children about the age of five or six will emotionally engage in aggressive acts, such as kicking or hitting their friends. Therefore, I confirm that TV cartoons draw children to negative behaviors.
