The mean relative decrease in aggregation 6 h after clopidogrel loading dose was 35 ± 20% measured by ADPtest and 36 ± 20% measured by ADPtestHS. Nevertheless, full recovery of ADP-induced platelet function after cessation of medication at T240 was achieved in seven of 10 horses according to the ADPtest, but the ADPtestHS revealed full recovery of the P2Y12-mediated platelet function in nine of the horses (Table 3). An intra-individual day-to-day variation and
intra-assay imprecision of approximately 15% has been demonstrated in human platelet function as measured with the Multiplate. Because data fromequine platelets are lacking,we defined the achievement of baseline values within a range of ±15% from the individual baseline aggregation at T0 as equivalent to full recovery of platelet function.
