Newly Popular “Funny Air” Balloons Seized in Pattaya

CWPC officers were able to arrest dealers who sold Funny Air balloons, a new type of drug that is popular under nightlife partying people.
Pattaya – August 21, 2013 [PDN]; Officers of the Children Women Family Protection and Anti Human Trafficking Centre (CWPC) together with undercover police arrested 2 Thai nationals, aged 17 and 19, who were selling a new type of drug containing nitrous oxide in a balloon called “Funny Air”. Police were able to seize a nitrous oxide tank as well as 70 Funny Air balloons.
The arrest took place after police officers came to attention that “Funny Air” balloons were being sold throughout walking street. Many tourists purchased and inhaled the balloons before going into clubs or a go go’s.
However, police are working hard to stop the distribution of Funny Air as it is considered illegal.
