Currently, there are no studies that
have investigated the impact of performing HIIT one day
per week with the combination of CMIET on cardiorespiratory
fitness. Furthermore, there is limited data in the
literature on the effectiveness of HIIT for overweight
and/or sedentary populations (Astorino et al., 2013; Lunt
et al., 2014; Sijie et al., 2012).
