In 2015, the ASEAN Economic Community will be established allowing the 10 Member States to increase integration around three main pillars: politics, economics and socio-cultural areas. An important factor for the community to take into consideration is the development of human resources among member states. This conference will be organised to seek guidelines and provide a forum for discussion in capacity building. This will support governments in their preparation of human resources for the ASEAN Community with an emphasis on innovation, integration, and English.
British Council Thailand and the Office of Education Council, Ministry of Education, worked collaboratively in organising a conference on Educating the Next Generation of Workforce: ASEAN Perspectives on Innovation, Integration, and English on 24-25 June 2013 at Centara Grand at Central World, Bangkok, Thailand.
