Results are consistent with the CGA coffee content reported in the
literature (Clifford and Jarvis, 1988; Ky et al., 1997). Differences in
results can be explained by the small variations between methods
and by the coffee variety.
The use of water at 80 8C combined with AC (treatment T2 in
Table 2) is less polluting than treatments T1 and T3 to T6, gave a
good extraction yield (5.07 1.0% db), and presented no significant
differences to alcohol extraction methods combined with AC.
