Since cellulases enzymes play an important role in global recycling of the most abundant polymer,
cellulose in nature, it would be of critical importance to understand this enzyme better so that it may be used
more regularly as a predictive tool in our soil fertility programmes. More information on the role of this enzyme
is needed since it is affected by different factors which may jeopardise its involvement in the decomposition of
cellulolytic materials in the soil for microbial use and improved soil health in agricultural ecosystems
