In the past, the Zoological Park Organization (ZPO) under the Royal Patronage, Thailand was successes in the Eastern Sarus Crane captive breed. Eastern Sarus Crane was classified in the family of Gruidae, species of Grus antigone and sub-species of G. a. sharpii. Their distributed in South-East Asia that including of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Malaysia (Meine and Archibald, 1996). Current population of Eastern Sarus Crane extincted from the nature of Thailand more than 3 decades since 1968 (Bubpha omked, 2007) and result to classified them to wildlife reserve species in the Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act, 1992 (Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant conservation, 2011) which had status to extinct from the wild of Thailand (Sanguansombat W., 2005).
