This paper aims to describe the function and place
of general neuromuscular activities, primarily general
play activities, in the educational process. We
use the term general play to include play, games,
athletics, dancing, the play side of gymnastics, and
all play activities in which large muscles are used
more or less vigorously. . . . To present the thesis
four phases of the educational process will be
considered: organic education, psychomotor education,
character education, and intellectual education.
