This paper presents the significant improvement of switching
frequency in DTC by employing the 3-Level Cascaded H-Bridge
Multilevel Inverter with the block modification of torque status.
Performance comparison of the 2-level conventional inverter and
3-level cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter has been simulatedby using Matlab software application. The proposed method was
enhanced to obtain excellent performance for motor drive and
also reduce the switching losses, especially at low speed region
and at the same time able to generate the excellent power quality.
On the paper was separate into 5 sections. The section I was
described about the introduction of DTC and several techniques.
Section II was explaining the principle of DTC structure. Section
III was described about the implementation of CHMI with block
modification in DTC. In the section IV of this paper was a
detailed explanation about the simulation result and Section V are
concluding this work.
