By now, you should be aware that Kohler Company is rolling out SharePoint as our Intranet Platform. Did you also know that SharePoint is the place where we will store and share documents in the cloud?
Kitchen & Bath NPD (New Product Development) is getting ready for the rollout and designing a SharePoint environment for all associates involved in NPD. We need you to help us identify who needs access to SharePoint.
Here is a little background:
What is SharePoint & Project Online?
• SharePoint is a collaboration and communication tool.
• K&B NPD will create Team/Project websites where people can work together, save documents and easily find information.
• SharePoint will become the working environment for capturing, organizing and sharing design and project data.
• Project Online is a tool that will help us organize our data by creating portfolios of projects and templates for NPD Websites.
Why do we need your help? There are many functions involved in NPD and it is sometimes difficult to tell from a job description, if a person is involved in NPD.
Attached is a spreadsheet of associates pulled from SAP, by job description, that identified them as a possible user. We are relying on you to represent all functions involved in NPD in your region.
Please edit the list and identify the associates who need access to SharePoint and associates who do NOT need access. We are looking for a complete list of people who will need access to NPD project information from your region. Also, please identify project managers or anyone who needs to create project timelines.
