Condenser modelling
A simplified approach for the condenser modelling is proposed
hereafter. Whatever the condenser may be, the modelling is simplified
by using one of the following three configurations: pure
counterflow, pure crossflow or combination of both, as shown in
Figs. 1–3, respectively. In this modelling the condenser is divided
into three zones: vapour de-superheating, two-phase and subcooled
zone. It is assumed that the fluids are homogenously
distributed among tubes on the refrigerant side and on the frontal
surface on the air-side. The lubricant is not supposed to affect heat
transfer coefficient, but it is taken into account in the energy
balance.
